About Us

Welcome to Lenicia B. Weemes Elementary School!
We are proud to partner with you in supporting the academic success and social-emotional well-being of our students. On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for your continued commitment to our school community.
At Weemes, we work closely with our educational partner, the University of Southern California (USC), to provide enriching programs such as Kinder2College, Troy Camp, Mission Science, and the Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI). These partnerships help us inspire a college-going mindset from an early age and create meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.
We also offer a variety of after-school programs that promote leadership, creativity, and student engagement, including Student Council, Dance, Beyond the Bell, and the UCLA Drum Circle.
Together, we are building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Congratulations, Kinder2College 5th Grade Graduates!

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Kinder2College (K2C) Graduation Ceremony was held at the USC Galen Center—a proud moment for students and families across the district.

We are excited to share that two of our very own Weemes Lions, Ezra Avila and Adrian Gomez, graduated from the K2C program!

We celebrate their achievement and wish them the very best as they transition to middle school.
Way to go, Ezra and Adrian—your Weemes family is proud of you!
